Rakshabandhan

Rakshabandhan is the favorite and holy festival of our country.  It is celebrated every year on the full moon in the month of Sawan.  The festival of Rakshabandhan is a symbol of the sacred love of brother and sister.  Rakhi threads instill affection and intimacy in our mind.

There are many mythological stories about this festival.  According to a legend, Shachi, the wife of Devraj Indra, had tied a thread of protection to all the gods on this day.  On the strength of this unity, the gods had won victory over the demons.  According to another story, on the day of Shravani Purnima, sages and sages used to complete their sadhna.

On this occasion, he used to bless the kings by tying rakhis on their wrists.  There is another legend about Rakshabandhan.  On this day Lord Vishnu had shattered the pride of King Bali, hence the festival of Rakshabandhan in Gujarat is called 'Balev'.  In Maharashtra, this festival is celebrated as Coconut Purnima.  On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, the affection of brother and sister sparkles.  On this day sister ties Rakhi on her brother's wrist.

She wishes the best for her brother, the brother lovingly gives gifts to the sister.  On the day of Rakshabandhan, brothers and sisters get lost in childhood memories.  Flowers of happiness rise in the house.  Today is the time.  Professionalism has also come in Rakhis.  More than one precious rakhis are made to earn money.

In the festival of Rakshabandhan, the importance of love and protection is important, not the precious Rakhi.  It's a festival.  Truly, Rakshabandhan is a beautiful and sacred celebration of family and social unity.
